Starting over in a new country can make you feel like a stranger in your own skin. When I first arrived in the U.S. in 2022, I felt like an “alien.” Understanding new cultures was tough, but over time, I learned the language, adapted, and made great friends. Still, I longed for a community that could help me grow as an Indonesian Christian in the U.S.
Then I found FICA and OMC. The like-mindedness of the people I met there felt immensely personal—it’s the kind of community I had been longing for. Finding the right spiritual community is vital to keep us on track with God’s purpose for us. I’m so grateful to be part of it now.
If you’re looking for the same, join a FICA Bible study every Thursday and OMC this Labor day weekend —we’d love to welcome you.
